USA ST. LOUIS, Saturday, September 27, 2008 — Under a bright yellow tent in Lafayette Square, the Church of Scientology's new Volunteer Ministers' Tent was erected for the first time in the city of St. Louis, to demonstrate real solutions to problems facing local communities such as, illiteracy, family upset, crime, drug use and even business difficulties.
Ron establishes a California home on a ranch outside of San Luis Obispo. He researches and releases new Scientology technical materials which further expand the route to total freedom, all the way to the highest levels of Operating Thetan.
Battlefield Earth is released in 1982 and becomes an international bestseller. Ron composes music and lyrics for an accompanying album – the first-ever soundtrack for a book.
