L. RON HUBBARD: HOW HIS WORK HAS INFLUENCED THE WORLD

Seminal among those administrative tools is a revolutionary organizational design known as the organizing board or “org board,” which delineates every necessary function for perfectly coordinated effort. The whole is described in seven “divisions,” corresponding to a sequence known as the Cycle of Production. That is, any activity will uniformly and universally follow the seven steps within the Cycle of Production. Thus the organizing board represents not the design of an assembly line or an assemblage of human cogs and wheels, but the genuinely ideal form for all concerted endeavors. Moreover, the organizing board is entirely elastic, and as applicable to the conglomerate as the single craftsman.

This is a tool adopted today by literally thousands upon thousands of businesses, groups and other organized activities around the world, including governmental offices in the states of Texas and Vermont and in the corridors of political parties in South Africa. By the end of the 1990s, the use of Mr. Hubbard’s administrative technology had become such a familiar part of society that a representative of the Ministry of Interior of the governor’s office in Russia’s Ryazan Region gained approval to train fifty area mayors in Mr. Hubbard’s administrative technology.
