ABLE stands for the Association for Better Living and Education.

ABLE is an international nonprofit public benefit corporation dedicated to social betterment. Formed in 1988, ABLE is empowered to authorize qualified social betterment groups to use L. Ron Hubbards technologies in purely secular charitable and educational activities. ABLE also is charged with the important responsibility of ensuring that this technology is made known and available to anyone who needs it and that the organizations authorized to utilize the technology under the social betterment trademarks are doing so correctly.
ABLE International carries out its programs directly and through a network of continental and national offices located throughout the world. ABLE and its affiliated offices closely monitor the activities of the four international social betterment organizations which utilize Mr. Hubbards technologiesNarconon, a drug rehabilitation program; Criminon, a criminal rehabilitation program; Applied Scholastics, an educational program; and a program for improving public morality based on a non-religious moral code called The Way to Happiness.
