22 Jul 2006 — St. Louis Narcotics Division Sworn in as Drug-Free Marshals by the Church of Scientology of St. Louis

St. Louis Drug-Free Marshals swearing in the local Narcotics Division.

A group of dedicated students from the Church of Scientology of St. Louis turned the tables on their local Narcotics Division, when they swore in the officers as "Drug-Free Marshals."

The program, developed 13 years ago by the Church of Scientology International, is aimed at getting children to make a commitment not only to live drug-free lives themselves, but to help their friends and community leaders do so too with the following pledge:

As a Drug Free Marshal, I pledge to lead the way by:

1. Living a drug-free life.

2. Showing my friends that a drug-free life is more fun.

3. Helping my fellow Drug-Free Marshals.

4. Learning more about how drugs really harm people.

5. Telling people the truth about the harmful effects of drugs.

6. Helping my family and friends be drug-free.

7. Setting a good example to all children by leading the way to a Drug-Free USA.

After the ceremony, the police applaud the "Marshals" for their dedication to helping youth stay off drugs.

All agree to carry out their pledge and "lead the way to a Drug-Free USA."
