3 Oct 2006 — Brussels Anti-Drug Campaign Launched on "Car-Free Day" - New Booklets Promote Living Healthier, Drug-Free Lives

Every year the major cities of Belgium observe a "car-free day" as part of "European Mobility Week" — a campaign to encourage people to take advantage of alternative transport for a healthier environment.

This year, the Foundation for a Drug-Free Europe chose this day, with its emphasis on living healthier lives, to launch its new anti-drug campaign.

Scientology churches support the Foundation, which was formed in March 2004 to unite and coordinate the efforts of members of civil society in the fight against drugs in Europe. The Foundation collaborates with local and national institutions and effective drug-free rehabilitation programs, and carries out drug- prevention education campaigns.

Members of the Church of Scientology of Brussels in their anti-drug t-shirts joined other Foundation members on "Car-Free Day" in passing out brand new drug information booklets to the many pedestrians thronging the Brussels streets. Spread the News:
