4 Dec 2006 — Scientology Disaster Relief Training

As a public service, and in response to the many requests from emergency response personnel and agencies, Scientology Disaster Relief training is being made available to any group or individual wanting to learn the organizational skills and techniques for handling trauma and confusion for which the Scientology Volunteer Ministers are famous.

A Volunteer Minister demonstrates Scientology "Assists" to two of the firefighters. Assists are techniques developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. They are invaluable to emergency response personnel as they are used to alleviate stress and trauma, or to orient a confused or distraught individual to his present environment.

The Volunteer Minister Disaster Response Specialist Course is a short, simple course delivered in our traveling Volunteer Minister Cavalcade tents or on site to organizations around the world.

Based on The Scientology Handbook the training is available at hundreds of organizations around the world, in over 20 different languages.

The training includes hands-on practical application of Scientology "Assist," techniques developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Assists are invaluable to emergency response personnel as they help alleviate stress and trauma, and orient confused or distraught individuals to their present environment.

"I saw the Volunteer Ministers providing solutions to every problem that people were walking in with," said a business executive from India who witnessed the work of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers after the 2004 tsunami. "Whether physical, whether mental, any operational problem people had, they had a solution."

This was echoed by a staff member in the office of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, who said, "The Volunteer Ministers are a remarkable group of individuals whose purpose is truly to help improve conditions. Their focus is one of organization and coordination. Their self-sufficiency and ability to direct all relief efforts is an indispensable asset to our country...."

To find out how your group can enroll on this training, visit the Scientology Volunteer Ministers web site at www.volunteerministers.org or email the Volunteer Ministers Coordinator at vm@volunteerministers.org.
