And like so many others who visit the Goodwill Tour, whatever their reason for walking in the first time, the reason they come back time and again, bringing their friends and families along, is because of the results they experience from the technology of L. Ron Hubbard.
Launched by Mr. Hubbard in 1978, the Volunteer Ministers program is a grassroots movement of people who devote their time to helping others. They provide relief in times of disaster, travel to developing nations on Goodwill Tours, or simply set up their bright yellow tents around town where they help "ordinary" people cope with the stress and pressures of life.
VMs are special not only because of their dedication and the fact that they want to help, but because they really can help.
The Romanian people have a lot to be proud of. Despite economic problems after the fall of the iron curtain, the country has emerged over the past ten years as one of the strongest economies in Eastern Europe, and just this month accomplished their long-awaited goal of joining the European Union.
And now, with the Volunteer Ministers Tour and people forming new Scientology and Dianetics groups to continue service to the community after the Goodwill Tour moves on, the future of this nation is very bright indeed.
