Within days of the Yogyakarta tornado striking, the Scientology Disaster Relief Team returned to the region to help with the clean-up and provide trauma relief to the people of the area.

An example of their recent work was their seminar at a local school that was destroyed by the twister. There wasn't a child or teacher who had not been directly affected by this disaster, so the entire student body and all the teachers — more than 1000 in all — were given a seminar in basic Scientology assist technology.

In fact, the Coordinator of the School District was so impressed by the improvement, he personally thanked the leader of the Scientology Disaster Relief Team, and reported to parliament that not only were the Scientologists the first ones on the scene after the disaster, the trauma program they held for these students and teachers had remarkable results — and was completed in one week.
His report included the school principal's assessment of the program: that the children were in excellent spirits — they were even happier than before the tornado struck!
