26 Apr 2007 — New Scientology Mission in Kazakhstan Opened in the Spirit of Friendship

Dostyk is a small town in the Almaty province on the border of Kazakhstan and China. In fact, it serves as the point of entry by highway and railroad between the Commonwealth of Independent States and China.

The new mission of Dostyk, Kazakhstan, opened its doors on the 7th of April 2007.

The word "Dostyk" means "friendship" and it was in the spirit of cooperation between the two countries that it was conceived.

And it was friendship that marked the opening of the Scientology Mission of Dostyk; the newest Scientology Mission in Kazakhstan.

The new mission opened its doors on the 7th of April 2007, with traditional music and dancing, and presentations by local businessmen and government leaders.

The Mission Director, Aiman Zharmuhamed, told her guests how she came to be a Scientologist and why she decided to open this Scientology mission.

For a long time she had been searching for a workable technology with which to really help people with their problems. When she found Dianetics and Scientology she thought this might be exactly what she was looking for, so she and her son traveled to the Scientology Mission of Almaty, where they both enrolled on Scientology and Dianetics courses. They got even more from this training than they had hoped.

But having gotten the help she was looking for she now wanted to extend this to her friends, her neighbors, everyone in her town.

And Aiman is not content simply to help the people of Dostyk: she plans to continue opening Scientology Missions in other cities, to make the priceless spiritual technology developed by L. Ron Hubbard available to all the people of her country.
