Millions have visited the official Scientology web site since the launch of the Scientology video channel. "Scientology" has become a household word. And with 7500 Scientology churches, missions and groups in the world today, people want to know what it's like inside a Scientology church.
 | The Church of Scientology International has created a new video called "Inside a church of Scientology," so anyone can now get a virtual taste of what it's like. |
To answer this question and make it easy for anyone to find out what goes on "inside," the Church of Scientology International has created a new video. Anyone who has not yet visited a Scientology church can get a virtual taste of what it's like with this new video, called "Inside a Church of Scientology."
With interviews of Scientologists and Church staff, and footage of church course rooms, counseling sessions and chapels, visitors to the web site or the Youtube Scientology channel can get a taste of what it's like in a Scientology church right in their homes, at work, at a cyber café or anywhere on Earth.

The video describes the more traditional Scientology services such as naming ceremonies, marriages and Sunday service. But it also shows those that are unique to the Scientology religion—services geared to the individual. "One thing that's particular about Scientology is that there's also a personal aspect to it," says one Scientologist, interviewed in the video. "You can kind of chose—'okay, what do I need help with in my life'," says another.
Scientologists also comment about what it's like to study Scientology. "It's not just a philosophy where you sit down and think about it," one young Scientologist comments. "It's taking the spiritual nature of man and it's combining it with something that's really practical." "It has a way of being very, very simple and easy to come across to the reader and easy to apply but also extremely powerful," says another person interviewed for the video.

One question that is addressed is whether it's something you have to believe. "In a Church of Scientology you're the one doing the learning," states one Scientologist. "No one is preaching to you or teaching it to you. You're the one doing it yourself." And as to why it is a religion a Scientologist answers that with these words: "You start to recognize who you really are, and that's really spiritual enlightenment." This is further clarified by a Church staff member, who says, "as you take that journey you become more and more you; you become more and more an individual."
The 4-1/2 minute-long video clip is on the official Scientology web site and the YouTube Scientology channel. It's a virtual must.
