17 Aug 2008 — Scientology Volunteer Ministers Train Health Care Workers

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers provided a seminar to hospital workers at the Siriraj Hospital in Thailand. The seminars enabled health care providers to better help their patients.

Hospital workers at the Siriraj Hospital in Thailand attended a seminar in Scientology assist technology.

The seminar focused on a chapter of the Scientology Handbook which describes the administration of Scientology assists.

Assists are procedures developed by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, that greatly increase the speed of healing by addressing the emotional and spiritual factors in illness and injuries.

After studying the theory, they drilled the procedures until they knew how to administer Scientology assists.

According to the Scientology Handbook, "An assist... can be described as a Scientology process which is done to alleviate a present time discomfort. A process is an exact series of directions or sequence of actions taken to accomplish a desired result. There are many processes contained in the materials of Scientology, but assists make up a class of processes in themselves.

"All Scientology processes address and handle a wide range of conditions affecting the spirit, the being himself."

Then they went out into the wards, under the supervision of trained Scientology Volunteer Ministers, and helped their patients address the spiritual factors that contributed to their illnesses or injuries, thus helping them speed their recovery.

The Handbook goes on to say, "Where tendency to disease or injury exists, or where disease or injury is being prolonged, or where unhappiness and worry causes mental or physical upset, we are dealing in the realm of Scientology."

The hospital staff who participated in the seminar first learned the theory behind Scientology Assists, and then drilled how to deliver them before going out into the wards to help patients speed their recovery.
