20 Aug 2008 — Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour in Ashaiman, Ghana

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers African Goodwill Tour held a series of seminars in Ashaiman, a city just outside Accra, in Ghana.

Nearly 500 teachers and students attended twelve workshops on the technology of study, developed by L. Ron Hubbard and contained in the Scientology Handbook. The Goodwill Tour delivered these seminars and workshops at various schools, Regent University, the Presbyterian Church in Tema, and the Mosque of Ashaiman.

A special graduation for these students featured speeches by a local member of parliament and a national MP for the region, both of whom thanked the Scientology Volunteer Ministers and recognized the importance of the seminars they provided. Both MPs commented on how much this technology can help the community accomplish its goals, and invited the Scientology Volunteer Ministers to continue their work.

The Volunteer Ministers have trained a corps of local residents, who will carry on their work after the Goodwill Tour moves on.
